Understanding RFID Inlay Construction

There are two primary methods for creating RFID inlays:

1. Direct Lamination Method:

- RFID chips and antennas are seamlessly integrated between two PVC sheets.

- Benefits include lower costs and ease of processing.

- The surface may not be perfectly flat, with the chip position potentially being slightly raised.

2. Hollow-Out and Lamination Method:

- A precise hole is cut out at the RFID chip's position on a PVC sheet, followed by lamination with two additional PVC sheets on the front and back.

- This method incurs higher costs and involves a more complex process.

- The end result is a flat surface, and when executed properly, the RFID chip remains invisible on the card surface.
